Diehl Defence GmbH & Co KG, based in Überlingen on Lake Constance, is the largest subsidiary of the Diehl Defence subgroup of the Diehl Group. Albemarle Corporation is a US specialty chemicals company based in Charlotte, North Carolina and a producer of lithium and lithium compounds.
Diehl Defence has acquired Dynamit Nobel as part of a share purchase with all operating activities, employees and assets at the Troisdorf site, where DynITEC GmbH, a joint venture between the Diehl Defence subsidiary JUNGHANS Microtec GmbH and Rheinmetall AG, is also based.
