Deals

Global law firm Freshfields is advising funds advised by Warburg Pincus LLC on their agreement to sell Warburg Pincus' shareholding in Odido Netherlands Holding B.V. to its co-investor, funds advised by Apax Partners LLP.

Apax and Warburg Pincus have been shareholders in Odido since 2022, when they acquired the business from Deutsche Telekom and Tele2. Freshfields' role in advising Warburg Pincus on this sale follows on its role advising Warburg Pincus on the acquisition of its stake in Odido in 2022.

Since 2022, Odido completed a successful rebrand, modernised its mobile network, and now has access to the largest fibre footprint in the Netherlands. Its ambition is to become the Netherlands' customer champion by making technology more human, accessible and relevant to everyday life.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and consultation of employee representatives.
